Since you are new to this and did not know how to remove the facemill, I have to ask. Did you read the manual/operators guide? That should tell you some basics as well as some maintenance things you should probably consider.
On the chucks, you will not be able to use your mt2 chuck since you have an r8 spindle. If the chuck you got with the machine isa straight shank then you would need to use the collet but if it is an r8 shank, then you just use the shank and drawbar.
