I have several different sets of jobber length drills and find the screw machine length drills are always the first thing I reach for any more. (Other than a spotting drill.) You don't have to worry about them flexing or wobbling around when starting a fresh hole. And if I need a deeper hole I'll still start with screw length then switch to the jobber length. You will love them.
