The Young Bros. stampes arrived the other day and I used them to mark a piece of hot roll sheet. They seem to be holding up pretty well over a set I bought from HF many years ago.
I must remind myself to hold them firmly and strike hard the first time because it's hard to get a second shot at it. Big Grin

I would not be knocking the Young Bros Stamps as when further checking my stamps I have a full set of their stamps and they also work well, they come in a nice wooden box and I still have the cardboard sleeve that came on the box but compared to them the chinese/germany made stamps are like comparing a bulova to a timex although looks are not everything. I found a thread that helps a lot in stamping, it advises to make a fixture to keep your lines straight and to stamp twice 1st strike lightly with a smaller hammer 2nd strike with big hammer. this will allow you to make corrections for spelling or upside down characters and to make the 2nd strike heavier as well as to sand/file off the displaced material which makes the characters really look nice. It also says if the mark on the side of the stamp is not large enough to feel easily to orient all stamps and grind a register on the side facing you so that it can be easily felt that will reduce the times you make a mistake and orient the stamp upside down. You will be surprised when using a fixture or jig at how easy it is to feel when the stamp clicks into the impression left by the first strike. This procedure will make your stampings look much more professional. If I can find that link I will post it so ypu know I am not trying to blow smoke up your ass. tom
