Which material do you use?
#12
I have found that 99% of jobs in a home shop require no specific materials to use at all. You are there to enjoy yourself, not worry all the time if you have got a number in the right place.

My two's

Brass, yellow or red, one that can be polished after machining, one for bearings.

Ali, drawn or cast, whichever I can get hold of.

Steel, rusty (normal), non rusty after two weeks standing outside in the rain (stainless)

Mix 'n match as required.

99% of my material problems solved
