DaveH, Tom is headed to the U.P. which is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  The residents of the region are called Yoopers.  Half of my ancestors are from Michigan and Wisconsin.  My last aunt and uncle on my father's side live in Escanaba which is (you guessed it) in the U.P. of Michigan.
