On to the Mark 4 version, I revamped the plate again, I cut the ears off the back of the plate and rewelded the plate to close up the slots on the back edge. After thinking about the plate, I couldn't think of why I actually cut the notch in the back of the plate, leaving the ears, as long as the table stayed centered, not an issue, but the ears couls cause a limitation on side travel, so they had to go.
