Contact Amazon anyway. The only way they know is if you tell them. They may remove the seller or force them to give a partial refund. Amazon will go to great lengths to protect their reputation, and shady sellers are often treated harshly.
Be sure to include pics of motor, copies of invoice, etc. I had a similar situation several years ago, and they gave me a complete refund and banned that seller.
