Hello, I have a tooth missing on the gear that interacts with the long toothed rack on my Myford ML7. I does not seem to affect the operation of the lathe. I have stripped the lathe apart for a deep clean and that is when I found it. Apart from replacing due to cost I would welcome ideas on how to fix this. There are two gears which I believe are pressed together and if I could get them apart I could perhaps drill where the missing tooth is tap the holes and fit studs then file to shape.
