Enlarging Washer I.D.

Washers are like drill bits, taps and reamers....no matter how many you have youre eventually going to not have the right one.

This one has a 1/2" O.D. so its not easy to get a hold of. Here is a pretty simple way to do it.

Right, then drill the center out to size. ?

A number of times i have drilled holes through pennies for small washers, works great.

(only cost 1 cent each!! ) lol -- cheaper than driving to buy them!!

Most of the time I use the Lathe to enlarge washer holes and can get odd size holes that way. Those big thick steel washers make nice woodruff keys in a bind too and always keep some on hand for that reason.
