That isn't a gantry crane Dave, but I believe he is building one now (or at least planning one).

Ed, a constructive guy would also use it to put engines back into cars. But, hey, it's your bro. Rotfl

I have one here but it's rough, a mate made it to lift a dual cab off a 4wd but it works fine lifting one ton.

This is the one that I have been sort of designing one around.

The only hitch so far is that my driveway/parking lot is sloped about 3 feet over its length, so gravity tends to have an impct on anything that I attempt to do in the lifting aspect.
