Anyone know if the body of this collet chuck on Amazon.com is hardened? I would want to add tommy bar holes.

I'm guessing since the surfaces appear to be ground, it must be hardened to some degree. I posed the question to the distributor and will let you know what they say, if anything.

Yea, I went to HHIP's web site and asked the question. I'm not expecting an answer I would trust but we'll see what they say, if anything.
