I'd definitely agree that the LeMat would be ideal but weight was one of the reasons the whole scenario got kick-started. The LeMat is around 3 pounds while the Speed Six is just under 2 pounds (according to the "never-wrong" internet).
For all practical purposes a cheap Crosman or a Daisy and a tube of BB's would have been fine, LOL
Probably a "Whammo" sling shot would have been even better ! I used to be a real marksman with a Whammo, can't even remember the number of street lights that fell to my prowess ! Never got the knack of skinning them though -(Does anyone remember when BB's came in tubes ? Cost a dime IIRC.)
