Instead of Machinery's Handbook the Machinists Ready Reference is a more appropriate reference book for machinists.  It is also quite a bit more economical.  https://www.amazon.com/Machinists-Ready-...+reference

Another superior choice is The New American Machinist's Handbook, now out of print.  I was fortunate enough to buy a new one in the late 70's before it went out of print.  Written for the machinist/tool maker instead of the engineer.  Today they are sought after and are expensive.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/...ition=used

Any thoughts on the company Travelers Tools ? See they resharpen mills and sell US produced tooling.
