Printer Accuracy
#1
Anyone know what the accuracy of 3D printers are dimensionally? I know it's going to vary based on the printer but a general ballpark would be useful. Lately I'm having problems with the items I've printed are ending up being 5 - 10 thou off the dimensions they should be. I don't recall having this problem in the past but maybe the items I've printed in the past didn't require much precision. I'm trying to fit two printed parts together for gluing, which I've done in the past, but with the dimensions of the printed items varying from the drawing they're not fitting together.

I don't know Jack about 3D printing but this article seems to suggest that ±0.005" is about what can be expected.
