actually I didn't do this today, but worked on it for a couple of days after squiring it a couple weeks back. Its a small set of Staking Tools used in watch repair, the box was pretty filthy so I had some Tung oil left from the rifle project so I decided to clean this up some.
Sanded it down with some 220 grit paper the started laying on the oil, with a rub down after each coat with 0000 steel wool, what you see in the second photo is what it turned out to look like, sorry no starting photo, the inside is original no finish. The set was made in Germany.
