Today I poked some holes in the outboard spider I made for my lathe. I really do like the ability of the mill to stick a hole exactly where you tell it to. No more trying to line up punch marks whilst trying not move the part when clamping it. Outer diameter is 94.5mm and the smaller of the two bores is 68mm to match the through hole on my spindle.
As you can see - a stop is another project on my list. I do like the 3/4" keyless chuck but man it takes up some real estate. I can see a set of machine length drill in the future...
I also thought I would show you the small machine jacks that I have (I used them for something else today, so remembered to take pictures). Nothing flash - simply some old wheel bolts and nuts screwed together. By using different length nuts you can extend the reach. Cheap and easy
