Finished (re)painting pieces for my SWAG press brake kit. I had cut a few pieces of different size angle iron to use for smaller dies for the brake. Had them all painted up and dry and then tried stacking them together. The sharp outside corner of each piece of angle bottomed out in the larger angle below it, and caused them to rock in the center.
So I had to mill off the corners of all the angles to get the legs to sit flat against each other - and then repaint the bottoms. I had to mill the bottom die too before welding the base together, but then forgot to do the smaller dies.
Also finished getting my lathe tool holder rack together and attached to the back of the lathe. I still have few more BXA holders to put on the upper rail. The lower rail holds the AXA's. They sit at a 45° angle so it's real easy to get them on and off of the holding brackets. I love not having all of them piled on top of the head stock any more.
I still want to make a block to put on the rack for holding the QC tool posts themselves. Right now the BXA sits on a shelf several feet away from the lathe. I'd like to be able to slide them on and off of the rack as well when I need to change sizes.
