Mill Lights
#1
I got some sewing machine lights from Amazon for the mill. Magnetic with goose-neck. The magnet is quite strong. They work very well. I was surprised at how much light they provide. I can actually see what I'm doing now and don't have to hold a flashlight as a spot light while milling. They only cost $15 for two.

I picked up several like that a few months ago. Put them on the drill press. Definitely a good investment.

I have one similar, but it's battery powered. Not as bright, but does the job, and no cords.

Well, Ed, you made me go buy one. Should be here by the weekend, and I'll compare brightness.

I hope yours is brighter than mine. I bought one back in 2014 to put on my band saw. In real life it isn't anywhere near as bright as it appears to the camera. It's more of a dull amber glow than any kind of white light. But with the improvements in diode technology hopefully the newer production lights are much better now.

I forgot all about this. I ordered a 3-pack of these, just checked and they're due here today, tomorrow or the next day, but not listed as shipped yet so I guess it won't be today.

Well, apparently the seller didn't like the price where the auction ended. Cancelled sale.

I have a knack for finding items that are misnamed or in the wrong category, and so tend to sell for lower than similar items. About half the time the seller cancels when they find that the auction price is lower than the going rate. All part of the game, I guess.

And when they didn't show up today I took another look. They must be on a slow boat, not due here till OCT 22-24.
