Bob,
A lot of us already have them for woodworking, usually called brad point bits. I just never knew they could be used for sheet metal also.

The brad point ones I have wouldn't work for metal, they have a sharp raised shearing lip at the periphery. Cut nice and clean even when breaking though wood.
