Fair enough. I fixed my post to say "bench grinder". Sorry for the confusion.

RE: help with angle iron's - dbreeze225 - 01-12-2015

nah its cool ... so yeh yesterday i went out to home depot (and oh yeh i found out my bench grinder isn't working the power wire was frayed and i was using it would be a pain in ass tho shuts off by itself...but now wire completely spit and i don't know how to fix it but my dad does he will splice a new one soon i hope) so anyway i explained my situation and asked this guy in home depot for some advice he suggested these 4 inch wheels that fit onto a adaptor that can go into and normal drill now i do have a regular cordless drill i could fit it in to but i also have a drill that runs on air (hooks up to a air compressor) these wheels and adapter would also fit into this drill just like the regular cordless one but the one hooked up to a air compressor definitely has a faster spin so i am thinking this might be a better option?!?! any suggestions? ok so i also need a lil bit of help on what to use and what order. what i got is all made by ryobi..i have 2. 4inch "cushion sewn cotton wheels", 1. 3inch, and 1. 2 inch "cushion sewn cotton", also 1. 4inch "denim spiral wheel", and 1. 4inch 'sisal wheel", also in this package came 1 "white rouge" compound stick, 1 "tripoli" compound stick (brown) ,1 "emery" compound stick (black)...........now i also found other ryobi compounds in my basement (dont know how old they are ) but i also have 1 "stainless steel"compound stick (yellow), 1 "jewelers rouge" (red). so knowing what i got any advice would help i dont know what order i should use the wheels and what compounds to use with what wheels. i have heard you never use more than one compound per wheel to avoid mixing and have also been told that it is VERY easy to put to much compound on the wheel wich will ruin things so any tips on that would be great.and last question i promiss (ha) are the wheels ready for compound and use right out of the box? i think i heard you have to prepare some wheels for compound? the sisal wheel almost looks like the material on the edge is almost like hardened wax or something so idk i dont even know what you would do to "prepare" them?? ok thats it THANKS guys ahead of time for any one that can help even if you dont know all the answers any help is appreciated i know i asked alot i dont have alot of experience with this and i spent along time on this project dont want to screw it up now
