I'm not sure what you mean by "hard point".
I'm not worried about getting it down the planks into the basement. Gravity is my friend. It's getting it off of the pallet and building a sled for it to anchor to. It can't lay on its side, it won't fit through the doorway.

A hard point is something one can attach to for heavy lifting, pulling, etc. An example would be a large forged eye bolt embedded in concrete. I've used a leg of my welding bench since it is held firmly in place with 1/2" concrete anchors.
