I went in and edited the original version and added a better close up of the winding process. If you watch it again, it will include the update.

Tom, what is the largest diameter wire that you have been able (or attempted) to wind on your lathe?

The largest I've wound is .080". In theroy, if your lathe has enough power and your wire guide and mandrel are stout enough you should be able to wind any diameter. On that web site I mentioned, the guy talks about what he calls large wire, from .3125" to .625" diameter. Jawdrop I think that's a bit out of my league.
