The CCMT inserts are a smart choice Ed, as they can be used to turn and face (without having to change tool position) in addition to boring. As they are an 80* included angle you can turn up to a 90* shoulder.

Additionally, there are tons of CCMT/CCGT inserts on eBay in a wide variety of grades and chip breaker combinations. If I'm not mistaken, they are one of the most common positive insert out there, meaning you can get some fantastic deals.

Nice work with the shiny camera Ed. Those machines look far too clean, spread some grime around please, far to hard on the eyes.

Well Steve, that's about as messy as I like my lathe to get. It's time for a serious lathe cleaning before I start my next project requiring the lathe.
