Like many folks here I have to walk farther to get to my truck than to my lathe : ) I'm even tossing around the idea of converting a basement room into a cnc room so I have the extra space to build an enclosure for my mill.
Couldn't sit and watch tv when all I had to do was drill a few holes and cut a slot.

So...
How does it perform?
I had a quick go just using one of the wizards that come with Mach3 but it seems to do an ok job. The larger engraving seems to have got shallower as it progressed but I don't know if it was the spindle slipping or the material surface being uneven? I need to do more testing to find out.
The smaller text is .125" tall and cut at a depth of .005" the larger text is .250" tall and cut at .004" Both were cut at 8 ipm.
