Thanks lads
Made a new Y AXIS nut mount today ,,,,,, as i jut could not leave/use the other one .
A bit RT work required
Looks a bit better now.
Plenty of room for the pulley and bearing adjuster nut .
Now i will need to re-bore the hole for the leadscrew to pass through the knee casting ,, as is looks like they used a rotary rat to chew it out .

Thanks for your comments Lads
I ,,,,I would have been further on if two blokes did not call over to drink coffee ,stopping production
Well i did a bit more tonight set up the knee on the mill for boring . Pleased i made that Box angle plate .
Picked up new centre , that was marked on a temporary plate fitted to the casting . As the new screw centre still lay within the original hole .
Used a hole saw to remove the bulk of the material , quickest way to do it .Always handy to have a good set around the shop for jobs like this .
Finished to size with a boring head .
It needed boring this size for the nut to pass through when fitted to the screw , also the bore will be used as a register for the Y axis bearing block .
