Speaking of which Pixman,  our daughter organized a press conference here at our place for her school.  The reason was because of the refugee problem here in Germany.

She wanted answers on where and what the Government was going to do and when, etc.  etc..    We had Mayors and state and local leaders in attendance.   She chaired the meeting.  Everything started out fine and then she asked a question to one official and his response went on and on.  She quietly called over one of our workers and whispered in her ear.   Off the worker goes and comes back a minute later and hands my daughter something.  Meanwhile the official is still going on and on.  My daughter stands up and places the object on the table in front of her.   The official stops talking and looks to see what she is doing.  She smiles and places a wind up three minute timer on the table.  Winds it up and looks at the official and smiles.  He starts in again and she stops him and tells him his three minutes are up!  Then she lays into the officials telling them that they want answers not long drawn out campaign speeches.  Her words exactly.  All the people except for the officials gave her a big round of applause.  From that moment on if an official got long winded she would reach out and put her hand on the timer and they would get the message.

After the meeting was over the official came over to me and started in on how our daughter was a little rude to have done what she did.   I just smiled at him and told him that I thought she was quite polite under the circumstances and would he have preferred that she came out and told him what everyone in the room was thinking, meaning he should sit down and shut the hell up and stop being  such a pompous ass.  The mayor nearly choked to death as he was standing very near to this exchange.

The press had a field day.
