Very nice work Bob, I have a set of excellent plans for a QCTP that I bought on the Internet, I am not at home so can not send you the link but steve also has a copy perhaps he can send you the link. You would be able to do a great job on it, the plans are only $15.00 and if you like them and can not afford them I will pay for them if only you do posting on the build as it would help me in my build. tom

hi all thanks for the offer of buying the plans for me tom but do not feel rejected if i turn your offer dawn their is plenty of free ones of different types of QCTP on the net and to mack most of them i will need a mill witch i don't have chances are that i will be buying one made to fit the myford tool post thanks all for your suport

hi all just a update the new compound slide works well but seating it up is a bit of a faff I'm gowning to make a new base clamp on the lines of the original one and see wats wot will keep you all posted

hi just thought of something the problem with the new set up is when you undo the 4 fixing points to move the compound slide the hole lot moves to fix this problem put two lengths of plate in between the fixing bolts that are a snug fit in to the channels on the Cross slide and fix them to the clamping plate problem solved
