That looks more like World Hindquarters.

I'll bet you could fit a small vertical mill in there, and do a little machining while taking care of business!

Started to really set up the new machine shop space. I have 2 carpenters working right now on insulating and putting up plywood walls. It is nice to have plywood on the walls so shelves can be put up easily anywhere. Larry

Wait till the lathe slings cutting oil all over that nice new plywood, then it won't look so neat. Yikes

It looks ready for a project Larry, what's next?

I can't believe where that comment is coming from.

Nice shop Larry
The new space is only neat because it is just getting set up. My woodworking area looks like a bomb went off!

Next Project: Found a Baldor bench grinder in a dumpster, need to make tool rests and repair/rewire the eye shields. Runs perfect, one of the nuts would not thread on, (I think that's why they threw it away) 15 minutes with a rat tail file already fixed that. Guard (casting) on the right side is missing as well.

Nice find! It's amazing what people throw out instead of offering it to someone that might be able to fix it and use it.

Ed
What I find amazing, is that the dumpster was outside of the welding shop in a large trade school! You would think someone in a trade school would know ( or at least want to know) how to fix it.
Larry, my limited experience with trade school staff is that they are there because they can't get an academic, better paying post. Rotfl

You mentioned using a "rat tail file" to repair the threads, did you mean a triangular file or am I missing something. 17428

Good save by the way. Thumbsup
