That looks to be a miter saw for wood. But Unal will let us know for sure.
Ed
Ed,
You are on the dot.
That is the "mistake"..., an ex con.
a circular table saw with changable blade for wood or metal. it is extremely high speed one and scares me to use it. althouhg it cuts straight, easy and acurate, but one time I was cutting an aluminum pieace (everyone should experince this once- to not forget) right after the blade went throuh the piece, I heard this loud BANG!,
I though was the shut gun exploded behind me.
I could not find the piece, fly went by my ear desaapeared in the shop. Later I learned alum would do that. that was the last time ever used the thing...
unal
Unal,
That is a very nice shop you have there, very well laid out
Goodness me it's clean, and all those tool goodies as well, first class shop

Thanks, Dave,
Nice to hear that from
you guys,
Its a miniature home shop, limits me to spread things around. I have to care a bit about infalamebles and chemicals etc. and cant do any casting or welding or tempering kind of work either. But you cant have a cake and eat it too, I guess...
Unal
Hi Unal,
You got my attention when you mentioned "miniature". I immediately went to your pics again to see if I can pick up some pointers to layout mine.
Good stuff you have there!
Regards,
Wong
Ed, Mayhem,
here is the “horror” machine. basically it is for wood but, it Cuts steel, bronze, brass etc. with bi-metal cutting blade, but no Aluminum!
since we all like pictures, I thought you wouldnt mind few extra pictures.
unal
Interesting - I have never seen one with a top cover like that. Very different to the ones I am use to seeing here.

Mayhem,
this feature got me interested too, at the begining, I had to cut all the wood to make my benches with it.
when you lock down the body, top cover becames a table and blade stands out from a slot, than you can also use as a table saw, like carpenters do.
unal
Unal,
You have a lot of nice "goodies" there
