Here is my shop
My first lathe
My second, 9/20 lathe
I extend the back to put speed control unit above the motor. Changed the motor.
Put the control on the front panel (where the T is)
This is my mill
Flood cooling added.
I put 3mm thick clear flexi-glass to keep flying chips off the floor.
I put them side by side, so they keep each other in company, while I am not there
Here I keep lathe tools and stuff.
As organize it gets, no matter what I do
This side I keep the Mill stuff,
My small band saw
My grinder
My spare End Mills, Carbide diamond insertables, nuts and bolts
Some stocks
Here I keep the stock bars
Here I have some more stocks
Keep some of the stuff off the benches put them on the wall.
It is a home shop
Unal
Hi
Unal
You are well sorted out there
A great place to spend some time
John
Lotsa toys, lotsa inventory, lotsa organization, just the kinda place I like (I'm still working on the organization).
Thank you John, Steve,
when the space is limited, then it is hard to get organized, things end up top of each other. could be organized better of course, but instead of spending time on tiddy up - takes hours-, I rather machine.
unal
Nice shop setup Unal. Very well organized.
Ed
Thank you Ed,
well, I got one same camera of Rob's
Unal
That is a very neat and tidy shop you have there Unal. Well organized and well stocked too! It looks like you have been at it for some time with that collection of goodies.
I just wish my shop was HALF as clean as yours!
Very nice job on the lathe motor upgrade also. Well done!
Willie
Thank you Willie,
But, I know it is a mess
Actually, this is not the way it should be, I think.
I envy people who take the end mill or drill or cutter, out of the box, uses and after done, carefully cleans and put it back in the box and put the box back where it belongs.
I have seen some guys like that. But I like everything under my hand ready to use in flash, (like somebody is chasing me into to hurry.). If I could only keep things off
the benches which are not in every moment use, than it could be cool,.
I think we all are in full at-tension while working, when done, instead of putting everything away, we sit and look at the piece we just done and enjoy the moment and rest a bit, rather than picking stuff back up. Than we see something could be better, than get up to fix it. That means new tools and stuff on the bench
and that goes on and on
and on
So nobodies shop is really tidy.
I dont know for sure
though, maybe, I is the only hook in the shop does that.

Nice shop unal - what is the item behind your band saw, on the Right-hand side?
