Yeah, Ed has it. X-axis power feed. I bought the motor 20+ years ago when I was doing animatronics for a friend's haunted garage. We used them for all sorts of props as they were cheap back then.

It was machine cleaning day. I got a late start so only got the mill done, it was the messiest though. I got a start on the lathe and bench and will finish it tomorrow.

I'm getting there, but it turns out that making parts for the mill when you've taken the mill apart is surprisingly difficult.
I took the table off to be able to take measurements and test fitment. Now I need to put it back to finish a couple of parts, and then take it back off for more measurements.
I'll post some pictures in a separate thread later this week.
Three days later I finally get the lathe bench cleaned up. Still need to decide how I'm going to store the lathe chucks and some other tooling. Probably going to make a shelf that sits on the bench top.

I completed the aluminum soft jaws for the vise today. Next will be the steel jaws. The jaws that came with the vise have that diamond knurled pattern which is useless for me. I bought some of those aluminum jaw covers but they don't always work, especially with smaller parts.

Ed,
I would make the bushing a lot shorter. It's nice to have the extra clearance below.

OK, I had it at .375" and shortened it to .3125". I'll make it .25".
Thanks!
